Gabriel Agbonlahor is fit to for Aston Villa's match against Wigan Athletic this weekend.

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has revealed that Gabriel Agbonlahor is fit to face Wigan Athletic this weekend.

The striker has missed the club's last three matches against Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Manchester City because of problems in his back and hamstring.

However, the 25-year-old has returned to training and McLeish has been pleased with the progression that he has shown.

"Gabby is training, which is great news," McLeish told the club's official website. "He eased himself into training on Monday but he was tremendous on Tuesday and looked really, really sharp.

"He's bursting to get that Villa jersey on again.

"He had a lull with the injury. It would be great to have him on fire again."

Agbonlahor has scored four league goals this season.
