Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton has revealed that he is close to returning to first-team action with the club.
The 22-year-old is yet to feature this season after injuring his foot in pre-season, but returned to training on Sunday.
"It's been so frustrating. It's dragged out like it's been years. But it's going well now. I started training on Sunday and I did some more training on Tuesday. Hopefully I will have a couple of weeks to get sharp and then I can get going again," Albrighton told the club's official website.
"I have been doing full training with the group. I had a few sessions with the fitness coach and the physios previously and it went fine. Touch wood, I'm back now. It's a dream to be back. Watching the lads over the last couple of games has been fantastic. But there's nothing like playing."
Albrighton made 29 appearances for Villa last season.
