Paul Lambert pleased by Marc Albrighton return

Paul Lambert admits that Marc Albrighton's return for Aston Villa was the only positive during Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has admitted that Marc Albrighton's return to the starting XI was the only positive during Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League.

The winger, who recently came back from a loan spell with Wigan Athletic, has struggled for appearances this season due to a string of injury problems.

"That was the plus point," Lambert told the Birmingham Mail. "He came back in and he was excellent. I am sure he will be feeling it later on, but that was certainly the plus point."

Villa are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Stoke City.
