Alex McLeish bemoans his side's failure to convert possession into chances, after drawing 0-0 with Wolves.

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has bemoaned his side's failure to convert possession into chances, following their 0-0 draw with Wolves at Villa Park.

Villa remain unbeaten this season, after a draw at Craven Cottage in their opening game and a win at home against Blackburn Rovers a week ago. However, McLeish insists his side are frustrated with their latest result.

"We were getting in good positions but didn’t get enough service to main man Darren Bent again," he told Sky Sports News.

"He is a bit frustrated in the dressing room now, but it only takes one chance for him and he so very nearly won it for us late on.

"Mick McCarthy made changes, he had defensive midfielders to draw on and that took the sting out of the game, it stopped our momentum - no doubt about it - so it was a good choice he made."

Villa next travel to Goodison Park to meet Everton in two weeks' time.
