Preview: Aston Villa vs. Cardiff City

Sports Mole previews Cardiff City's trip to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Aston Villa will be hoping to record their first win in five attempts when they host Cardiff City on Saturday.

Paul Lambert's side, who have not scored a league goal in their last four matches, were held to a draw by West Ham United last weekend.

Cardiff come into the match off the back of their 1-0 victory over rivals Swansea City last Sunday, which moved them four points clear of the relegation places.

Villa have won just once on home soil this term, against Manchester City in September.

Lambert could be without Gabriel Agbonlahor as the striker continues to recover from an ankle problem. Defenders Antonio Luna and Joe Bennett could also miss out through injury.

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay has no fresh injury concerns and could name the same XI that beat Swansea.
