Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has claimed that his young side is "hitting top form" at the right time as they battle to stay in the Premier League.
The Villans dismantled Sunderland 6-1 at home on Monday night to lift themselves five points clear of the drop zone with three games to play.
"The lads are hitting top form. That's the pleasing thing," Lambert told the club's official website. "They are growing with it. They are definitely performing, that's for sure. Our form at the moment is very good."
Villa return to action on Saturday when they travel to Lambert's former team Norwich City.
