Alex McLeish's Aston Villa side dominated much of the second half against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park this afternoon, but neither side was able to find the back of the net.
Wolves made a bright start when winger Stephen Hunt forced Villa goalkeeper Given into action, latching on to Stephen Ward's cross with a header.
Villa came closest to breaking the deadlock after the half, but Kevin Doyle cleared Richard Dunne's header off the line to keep the score goalless.
The result means that both teams continue their unbeaten seasons so far.
Wolves welcome Tottenham to Molineux in two weeks' time, while Villa travel to Everton.
