Aston Villa have secured their first league win of 2012, beating Wolves 3-2 at Molineux this afternoon.
Wolves defender Christophe Berra handed the visitors a spot kick with ten minutes gone, bringing down Darren Bent after failing to clear the ball.
The Villans striker was then able to wrong-foot the Wolves keeper from the spot to hand the visitors the lead.
Michael Kightly tied the score in a matter of minutes after an individual bit of skill by Emmanuel Frimpong. The on-loan midfielder found his teammate on the right-hand side of goal, allowing him to beat Ciaran Clark and curl the ball past Shay Given.
David Edwards made it two for the home side with 30 minutes gone, connecting with Roger Johnson's headed assist to beat the Aston Villa keeper once again and go in ahead at the break.
Ciaran Clark capitalized on Matt Jarvis's poor clearance after the restart, knocking the ball down to Robbie Keane and allowing the on-loan striker to turn and find the bottom corner of the net from range.
Referee Michael Oliver dismissed Karl Henry for the home side after the midfielder appeared to kick a midfielder in the chest in the late stages.
Keane scored his second of the game from distance, latching on to Roger Johnson's headed clearance to seal the points for the visitors.
