Ron Vlaar has revealed that he is undecided on where his future lies after he becomes a free agent on July 1.
The Dutch defender has been linked with a move to a host of Premier League clubs, with Southampton and Newcastle United being touted as the most likely destinations.
However, the 30-year-old is considering renewing his contract with Aston Villa and hints that he wants to stay in England.
"I don't know [where my future lies]. Even if I knew, I would not be able to tell you. But, the truth is that there is nothing going on right now. No idea about renewing with Aston Villa, but the truth is that nothing is confirmed," Vlaar told reporters.
"The Premier League is a great competition and a great league. I think it's the toughest league in the world. I don't know if it is the best as I only know the Dutch and the English leagues.
"But, there's a lot of challenge there for every player. It's great to play in the league. It made me a better player and certainly good for me as well."
The former Feyenoord centre-back has made 88 appearances for Villa since joining the club in 2012.
