Aston Villa have got a loan deal over the line for Swansea City midfielder Tom Carroll.
The Villans have added the 26-year-old to their squad for the remainder of the season and have the option to buy him in the summer.
Carroll came through Tottenham's academy but has spent the last two years at Swansea, making 27 appearances in the Premier League last season and featuring 12 times in the Championship this term.
An agreement was reached between Villa and Swansea late on deadline day, reportedly just a few minutes before the 11pm deadline, and the ex-England Under-21s international will now see out the 2018-19 season away from South Wales.
Villa were among the busier Championship sides on the final day of winter transfer activity, having also brought in Frederic Guilbert from Caen and Tyrone Mings from Bournemouth.
