Parma cruise past Atalanta BC

Parma beat Atalanta BC 4-0 in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri.

Parma have extended their unbeaten run to 12 league matches after defeating Atalanta BC 4-0 in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri.

Cristian Molinaro gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute when he met Jonathan Biabiany's cross and slotted the ball into the net.

They had a chance to add a second soon after, but Biabiany fired wide after being picked out by Antonio Cassano.

The home side began to threaten as Maxi Moralez saw his close-range header saved by Antonio Mirante, before Guglielmo Stendardo headed over the bar.

In the 75th minute Parma extended their lead when Yohan Benalouane turned a cross into his own net.

They quickly added a third as Cassano fired in a free kick, and Ezequiel Schelotto grabbed his side's fourth goal in stoppage time by firing a low strike into the bottom corner.
