Inter Milan's poor form in Serie A continued this evening with a 1-1 draw away at newly-promoted Atalanta.
Claudio Ranieri's side would have lost the encounter but for goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi, who saved a penalty after the break.
The match started brightly for Inter and they broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute through Wesley Sneijder. The Dutchman collected a pass from Mauro Zarate before shooting in from 25 yards out.
However, the scores were levelled before the break through German Denis, who headed in Maximiliano Moralez's cross.
Denis was handed the perfect opportunity to claim all three points for his side with just one minute remaining, but his spot-kick was turned away by Castellazzi, who had earlier come on for the injured Julio Cesar.
The draw means that Ranieri's Inter remain 16th in the Serie A table.
