Sunday's Serie A predictions including Hellas Verona vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Hellas Verona vs. Inter Milan.

Atalanta vs. Torino (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After enjoying their finest hour in Europe, Atalanta BC play the penultimate game of their league season on Sunday, when Torino pay a visit to Bergamo.

Crowned Europa League champions in midweek, La Dea can finish no lower than fifth in Serie A and could yet claim third; meanwhile, Toro must win to keep alive slim hopes of qualifying for continental competition.

We say: Atalanta BC 1-0 Torino

Torino may be tough to beat, but they are far less effective on the road; as the away side will most likely lie deep, Atalanta can play their way into the game following a few days of celebration, before scoring once to post a sixth straight Serie A win.

Napoli vs. Lecce (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Napoli's disastrous Serie A season concludes at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday, with the Azzurri keen to end 2023-24 on a winning note against Lecce.

The Partenopei's Scudetto defence could be the second-worst in the three-points-per-win era if they fail to defeat Lupi.

We say: Napoli 1-1 Lecce

While you are inclined to back Napoli to record maximum points on their last game of a wretched year, this side have stunk for much of this season, winning just one in 10 in Serie A.

Without a clean sheet since February and winless on home turf since early March, Lecce securing a point in Naples is a strong possibility on the final day.

Empoli vs. Roma (Sunday, 7.45pm)

With only a win guaranteed to preserve their Serie A status, Empoli host Roma in Sunday's season finale.

After being denied victory deep into stoppage time last week, the Tuscan club must now take maximum points to make sure of staying up; their visitors, meanwhile, are bound for a sixth-place finish.

We say: Empoli 1-1 Roma

While Empoli's need for three points is far greater, it is hard to envisage the home side scoring more than once, given their woeful track record in front of goal.

Roma have little to play for and may settle for a draw, but whether that proves enough to save their hosts' skins remains to be seen.

Frosinone vs. Udinese (Sunday, 7.45pm)

A high-stakes shootout for Serie A survival takes place at Stadio Benito Stirpe on Sunday evening, as both Frosinone and Udinese fight to avoid relegation.

While a win is required for the visitors to guarantee extending their long stay in the top flight, their hosts can secure back-to-back Serie A seasons for the first time ever by holding out for a draw.

We say: Frosinone 2-2 Udinese

A lot is on the line for both clubs this weekend, so whichever side handles the pressure best will surely prevail.

Frosinone have won seven times while impressing on home turf this season, so they should be able to earn the point needed for safety. Udinese, meanwhile, would have to hope Empoli lose to Roma if they record yet another draw - otherwise a playoff or even relegation could be the Fruilani's fate.

Hellas Verona vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)

At the end of a remarkable Scudetto-winning season, Inter Milan play their final game on Sunday, when Hellas Verona play host to the Italian champions at Stadio Bentegodi.

While Inter streaked clear to a 20th title and now lead city rivals AC Milan by some 19 points, Verona can celebrate securing their Serie A status after winning earlier this week.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-3 Inter Milan

In the final fixture of a stellar Serie A season, Inter can post their 30th league victory and cap off a memorable campaign in suitable style.

Verona have steadily improved over the past few months, but they may drop their levels after confirming top-flight survival, and any number of players in the champions' deep squad can clinically punish them.

Lazio vs. Sassuolo (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Lazio's Serie A season concludes against already-relegated Sassuolo at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

While Igor Tudor's men cannot end higher than seventh despite a strong push to make it into the coveted continental spots, the Biancocelesti aim to notch a fifth straight home win in the competition (a draw also suffices) that guarantees their current position with Fiorentina making a late play to supplant them.

We say: Lazio 2-0 Sassuolo

Despite having little to play for on the final day, Tudor hopes his side remain motivated against Sassuolo this weekend, keen to claim a fifth straight league win at the Olimpico (six in all competitions) to end the campaign.

The Biancocelesti have won the last four against the Neroverdi, and that streak should become five on the spin in the capital.
