Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini will reportedly join Atalanta BC on a permanent deal this summer after spending the last 18 months on loan with the Serie A outfit.
The Italian played just seven games in his homeland but, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta are keen to secure his services on a full-time basis.
Villa are said to be on course to receive £3.5m for Gollini, who spent time with Manchester United's youth academy earlier in his career.
Gollini is one of several senior Villans players out on loan, with Spanish playmaker Carles Gil, Tommy Elphick, Gary Gardner, Aaron Tshibola and Ritchie De Laet all having played their football elsewhere last season.
Gil is expected to make his loan move to Deportivo La Coruna permanent, while De Laet is said to be on the brink of signing for Royal Antwerp in Belgium.
