Athletic Bilbao 0-0 Getafe

Neither side can find a way through as Bilbao and Getafe play out a goalless draw at the Estadio San Mames.

Athletic Bilbao's hopes of finishing in La Liga's fourth and final Champions League spot have been ended after a stalemate with Getafe at the Estadio San Mames this evening.

Both sides were wasteful in the opening 45 with Athletic just edging proceedings.

Pedro Leon almost put the visitors in front with a curling effort seven minutes into the second half before Gaizka Toquero blazed over for the hosts.

Marcelo Bielsa's men pressed in the final ten minutes and Ibai Gomez squandered an opportunity from inside the area by dragging his shot wide of the post.

Bilbao drop to tenth in the table while Getafe also fall, to 11th.
