Athletic Bilbao and Espanyol played out a 3-3 draw this evening in cold conditions.
Hosts Bilbao broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through Oscar De Marcos.
However, visiting Espanyol restored parity in the 33rd minute through Ivory Coast midfielder Romaric as the sides headed into the break level.
Just three minutes after the restart though, Espanyol doubled their advantage through former Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers winger Vladimir Weiss.
Bilbao's fight back began in the 57th minute courtesy of Fernando Llorente, before defensive midfielder Javi Martinez struck in the 64th minute to put Bilbao back into the lead.
Just when it looked like the hosts had secured all three points, Juan Albin popped up in stoppage time to rescue a draw for Espanyol.
