Benfica forward Jonas has revealed that he is looking forward to returning to Spain as his team prepare to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The Brazilian spent three seasons in La Liga with Valencia, making more than 100 league appearances for Los Che.
The 31-year-old also has a Calderon goal to his name and is hopeful that he will add another when Benfica face Atleti in Madrid.
"Yes, I played for Valencia and that was a very nice game that season," AS quotes Jonas as saying. "I hope to score at the Calderon again. It's a very good opportunity.
"Atletico are a very strong, aggressive team. We know how they play, they're strong on the counter-attack and very strong in their stadium. We've been preparing well and it would be good to score points away from home."
Benfica were 2-0 winners over Astana in their Champions League Group C opener earlier this month.
