Tiago: 'Rotation is important'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago says that he is a supporter of head coach Diego Simeone's decision to rotate his squad in the early part of the season.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago has claimed that Diego Simeone's rotational style will allow the capital side to challenge on all fronts this season.

Simeone has made a whole host of changes throughout his side in the early part of the campaign, which has led to criticism due to a lack of consistency.

Tiago, however, has said that keeping players fresh is the key to enjoying a successful campaign.

"Rotations are the way for those teams that want to fight for everything until the end. We are not changing our philosophy. We know what has made us win," Tiago told reporters.

Atletico, who were beaten 1-0 at Villarreal in La Liga at the weekend, return to Champions League Group C action at home to Benfica on Wednesday.
