Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised Atletico Madrid for reaching the Champions League final.
Diego Simeone's side knocked out Chelsea in midweek to set up a final against Real Madrid, and Wenger admits that he is impressed that they have gone so far on a smaller budget than their city rivals.
"I would like to pay tribute to what Atletico Madrid have done because Real Madrid [have been] 13 or 14 times in the final," he told Arsenal's official website.
"We know what that prestige policy can bring, but it's important for football as well to see that teams who spend less can be in finals as well."
This year's Champions League final will be the first time that two teams from the same city have met.
