Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has suggested that frontman Diego Costa will miss the club's Europa League semi-final first leg with Arsenal.
Atletico travel to the Emirates on Thursday evening off the back of Arsene Wenger's announcement that he is to depart the Gunners after 22 years at the end of the current campaign.
Spain international Costa has been influential for Atletico on his return to the club, but he will likely not take part in the game in London after picking up a hamstring injury against Sporting Lisbon in the previous round of the Europa League.
"The doctors will inform us but I think it won't be possible for him to be ready for Thursday's game," said Simeone, according to Sky Sports News.
"He will be [available] for sure in the return leg, but I think he has no chance to be [fit] for the first leg game."
Atletico will be hoping to claim their third Europa League crown after winning the tournament during the 2009-10 and 2011-12 seasons.
