Enrique Cerezo: 'Diego Simeone not leaving Atletico Madrid'

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo claims that Diego Simeone will remain in charge of the Spanish champions for at least three more years.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is confident that Diego Simeone will not leave the Spanish champions for at least three years.

The Argentine's work over the last couple of seasons has made him one of the most in-demand managers in European football.

However, Cerezo is confident that the 44-year-old will, at the very least, see out his current deal at the Vicente Calderon.

"Simeone has three years left in the contract he signed," Cerezo told Radio Marca.

"He is a gentleman and a man of his word. We will have 'Cholo' (Simeone) for a long time."

Simeone led Atletico to their first La Liga since 1996 last term, in addition to reaching the final of the Champions League, where they lost in extra time to Real Madrid.
