Diego Costa: "I'm very shy"

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa has claimed that his personality on the field is entirely different from his normal character.

The 25-year-old, who has scored 27 times for his club this season, is known for his aggressive demeanour on the field. However, he has insisted that his off-the-pitch personality is entirely different.

"If people knew me, they'd change their minds. I'm very shy, I get embarrassed doing interviews," he told Canal+.

"I'm in my own little world, as they say because that way I can do things I like and not worry about the bad."

Costa is expected to make his Spain debut against Italy on Wednesday.
