Antoine Griezmann confident Diego Simeone will stay at Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann insists that Diego Simeone will stay as Atletico Madrid manager, despite reports that the Argentine is considering his future.

Antoine Griezmann has insisted that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone will not leave the Spanish club.

It was reported last month that the Argentine is considering his future at the Vicente Calderon after losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid for a second time in two years.

Last week, it was claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are keen to hold talks with Simeone about the 46-year-old potentially replacing Laurent Blanc.

However, as far as Griezmann is concerned, Simeone will stay on with Atletico.

"He will not leave Atleti," Griezmann told beIN Sports. "I have spoken with him, I am practically sure."

Simeone has guided the club to the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa de Espana, the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup in a five-year spell.
