Nolito delighted with Atletico Madrid scalp

Celta Vigo forward Nolito hails his team's performance in Sunday's 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Celta Vigo striker Nolito has revealed his delight following Sunday's 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniard netted his side's first from the penalty spot, before Fabian Orellana scored a second for the hosts late on.

"The team did a good job in defence and attack. We played a great game against the champions. Atletico have a great team but I must thank my teammates for the game we've played," he told AS.

"Atletico don't need to do a lot to score a goal but we were the better team. We ran a lot. They have a great team and remember, they are League champions ahead of Barcelona and Real Madrid."

Celta currently sit ninth in La Liga on 28 points.
