Diego Simeone calls for home support

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone calls on the club's supporters to be vocal in Sunday's La Liga clash with Malaga.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has said that he hopes "the stadium explodes" with noise in Sunday's La Liga clash with Malaga.

Victory against last season's Champions League quarter-finalists this weekend would leave Atletico needing just one point in the final round of games to secure the title.

"I invite the people to come and be optimistic, to believe that we can. Those who don't believe, don't come," he told Cadena Sur.

"I hope the stadium explodes. On Sunday we'll have two more players in the people are there.

"From the first minute we need trust, security and with strength but not pressure. We all have a responsibility for zero pressure."

Atletico were beaten 2-0 by Levante last time out in the league.
