Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has insisted that his team will be fully focused on this weekend's La Liga clash with Celta Vigo, despite the Champions League final looming in the background.
Atletico can no longer win the Spanish title after losing 2-1 at Levante last weekend, and it had been claimed that Simeone could rest a number of key players ahead of the European final with Real Madrid on May 28.
Simeone, however, is desperate for his side to return to winning ways at the Vicente Calderon on Saturday.
"The best way to prepare for the game in Milan is to compete and win at Celta. It is always important to finish as well as possible and we are also seeking our own self-improvement," Simeone told reporters.
Atletico can still overtake second-placed Real Madrid in Spain's top flight.
