Carlos Vela pleased with three points

Real Sociedad attacker Carlos Vela praises his side's 'motivation' after Sunday's 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid.

Real Sociedad attacker Carlos Vela has revealed his delight after Sunday's 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid.

The victory, which was only Sociedad's second of the season, moved the Basque outfit out of the relegation zone ahead of the international break.

"These are the kinds of games that motivate us, the situation we're in, we had to take a step forward if we didn't want to go into the international break with this bad feeling," he told AS.

"It's not a matter of the coach, the players have to believe and follow this line to keep working and see what happens. It's all we have left."

Vela levelled the scores at the Anoeta, before Imanol Agirretxe headed a winner late on.
