Preview: Athletic Bilbao vs. Atletico Madrid

Sports Mole previews the La Liga encounter between Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid.

Athletic Bilbao will be without Ander Iturraspe and Aymeric Laporte for the visit of Atletico Madrid on Sunday.

Both men are suspended after picking up cards during last week's 1-1 draw at Real Sociedad, with Laporte's late dismissal failing to cost his team a point at the Anoeta Stadium.

After a disappointing start to the campaign, Bilbao have won three out of their last six fixtures in all competitions and currently sit in 10th position in the La Liga standings.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone also has players missing through bans with both Koke and Mario Mandzukic being forced to sit out the trip to San Memes.

Alessio Cerci and Antoine Griezmann could come into the side but Cristian Ansaldi won't feature because of a knee injury.

Last year's league champions are currently on a run of three games without a win in all competitions but with Real Madrid competing at the Club World Cup, they could cut the gap at the top to four points.
