Radamel Falcao has continued his superb recent scoring run by netting a brace to secure Atletico Madrid a comfortable 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at Estadio Vicente Calderon.
The Columbian, who has now scored five times in his last four appearances, opened the scoring five minutes into the second half with a close-range tap-in.
He then sealed the win 18 minutes from time with a emphatic six-yard header from Juanfran's deep cross.
Marcelo Bielsa's Bilbao continued their run of finding the net in each of their last 10 away games as they snatched a consolation goal in stoppage time through Javi Martinez.
Falcao has now scored 25 goals for Diego Simeone's side since his £35m move from Porto in the summer.
