Aston Villa and Bournemouth have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
The 20-year-old was fully expected to secure a high-profile switch to Premier League giants Chelsea, although the deal hit a major obstacle in the final stages.
A transfer to Stamford Bridge for Omorodion had to be scrapped due to serious contractual issues that arose involving the player's proposed seven-year terms in West London.
Missing out on a sale of £35m, Atletico Madrid are said to be 'unhappy' with the Blues, who have already moved onto the task of acquiring other targets.
Joao Felix is being linked with a return to Stamford Bridge from the Spanish giants, although a deal for the Portuguese attacker is not believed to be at an advanced stage currently.

Aston Villa, Bournemouth offered Atletico's Omorodion?
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, two Premier League clubs have been offered the chance to sign Omorodion this summer following his failed move to Chelsea.
The report claims that Atletico Madrid have contacted both Aston Villa and Bournemouth to sound out a potential transfer to either the West Midlands or the South coast for the striker.
It is understood that neither the Villans or the Cherries are actively pursuing a deal for Omorodion at this stage, so it is currently unclear whether the pair are keen on a swoop.
However, there is supposedly one European outfit who are interested in securing the signature of the 20-year-old this summer: Bundesliga holders Bayer Leverkusen.
Xabi Alonso's side have been monitoring Omorodion's situation in Madrid prior to Chelsea making a move for the attacker earlier in the window.

Do Villa, Bournemouth need Omorodion?
Spending the 2023-24 season on loan at Deportivo Alaves, Omorodion enjoyed a respectable breakout year in La Liga, scoring eight times from 35 appearances.
The 20-year-old has been busy on international duty over the summer, helping Spain to Olympic glory at Paris 2024, although he only started the single match in the tournament.
With Ollie Watkins coming off the back of a 27-goal campaign for club and heroics at Euro 2024 for England, it is hard to see Omorodion getting much game time at Villa Park.
It could be a different story for the Spaniard at the Vitality Stadium, though, considering that Bournemouth recently sold Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur.
