Koke, Juanfran agree new Atletico Madrid contracts

Spanish internationals Koke and Juanfran extend their current contracts at Atletico Madrid until 2019 and 2018 respectively, the club has confirmed.

Atletico Madrid have announced that Koke and Juanfran have extended their current contracts at the Vicente Calderon.

Koke, who has been linked with a move away from the Spanish champions in recent weeks, has agreed a new deal stretching to 2019, while fellow Spanish international Juanfran has signed a four-year extension.

"Koke and Juanfran have extended their contracts with our club until 2019 and 2018 respectively," a statement on the club's official website read. "Both players are essential to Atlético's recent successes and their renewals are great news to our club."

The pair represented Spain at the World Cup this summer, before La Roja were eliminated from the competition at the group stage.
