Report: Cristian Rodriguez close to Parma move

A report claims that Atletico Madrid attacker Cristian Rodriguez is close to joining Parma on loan.

Experienced Uruguayan Cristian Rodriguez is reportedly close to joining Parma on loan from Atletico Madrid.

The 29-year-old, who joined Atletico from Porto in 2012, is a very popular figure at the Vicente Calderon.

However, the attacker has struggled to gain a regular spot during his time in the Spanish capital and he has started just twice this season – both in the Copa del Rey.

Rodriguez admitted last week that he could depart the Spanish champions this month and according to Football Espana, the midfielder is currently travelling to Italy to complete a loan move to Parma.

Rodriguez is contracted to Atletico until next summer.
