Report: Diego Simeone to revamp Atletico Madrid squad

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone reportedly plans to offload a number of players this summer as he plots an overhaul of his squad.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is reportedly planning to offload several of his squad members as he steps up his preparations for next season.

According to Marca, the Los Rojiblancos coach is prepared to move on the likes of Christian Rodriguez, Leo Baptistao and Joshua Guilavogui, while a recent report claimed that Chelsea are on the brink of landing Filipe Luis.

Chelsea-bound Diego Costa has already been replaced by Mario Mandzukic, while Simeone may need to find a replacement for Thibaut Courtois should the Belgium international goalkeeper return to Stamford Bridge.

Adrian Lopez, David Villa, Tiago and Oliver Torres have all left the club this summer.
