Sunday's Brasileiro predictions including Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Brasileiro fixtures, including Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro.

Atletico Mineiro vs. Atletico GO (Sunday, 3.00pm)

Atletico Mineiro seek to extend their ongoing undefeated streak in Sunday's gameweek 13 Brasileiro meeting with Atletico Goianiense at Arena MRV.

The home side have avoided defeat in back-to-back matches, and they aim to keep that going against the visitors who slipped into the relegation zone after the previous round.

We say: Atletico Mineiro 1-1 Atletico Goianiense

While the immediate inclination is to back Atletico Mineiro to notch maximum points, the hosts' absentees mean you are inclined to be cautious. The away side may not be prolific in attack, but they should have enough to nick a point against Milito's hodgepodge side.

Gremio vs. Fluminense (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Gremio and Fluminense have endured wretched starts to this season's Brasileiro, underlined by the two bottom sides' numbers heading into Sunday's gameweek 13 match at Arena do Gremio.

The hosts ended last season runners-up in the top flight, while their opponents have collapsed domestically despite claiming the 2023 Copa Libertadores.

We say: Gremio 1-0 Fluminense

This one is difficult to call due to both sides' mediocre starts to the new campaign. However, the smart bet is on Gremio to record their seventh straight win over Fluminense, having outscored the visitors 9-3 in the previous six encounters.

Sao Paulo vs. Bahia (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Sao Paulo will be hoping to move into the Copa Libertadores qualification spots when they take on high-flying Bahia in Brasileiro at MorumBIS on Sunday night.

The hosts enter this contest one point off the top six teams in the league standings, while the visitors are in second place, level on points with league leaders Flamengo.

We say: Sao Paulo 2-2 Bahia

While Bahia have made a very promising start to the 2024 league season, their away record is much less impressive with only one win secured in six outings.

Sao Paulo, while not at their absolute best this term, have earned the majority of their points here at MorumBIS, losing only once in their last five home games. This looks a very even contest on paper and we feel there will be nothing to split these sides at the final whistle.

Fortaleza vs. Juventude (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Fortaleza will look to extend their unbeaten run in Brasileiro when they face off against Juventude at Estadio Governador Placido Aderaldo Castelo on Sunday evening.

In a tightly compact Serie A table, these two sides are currently holding down the final two Copa Sudamericana qualification places, though a win for either here could see them move into the top seven.

We say: Fortaleza 1-0 Juventude

While Juventude will be extremely pleased with the start they have made on their return to the top flight, the vast majority of their good work has been done on their home patch, while they are still looking for their first away win of the campaign.

Fortaleza are unbeaten at home this term and have kept three consecutive clean sheets on their home patch in this month alone. We feel the hosts will edge the result in this one.

Vitoria vs. Athletico PR (Sunday, 10.30pm)

Athletico Paranaense will be looking to snap their four-game winless run when they visit the Estadio Manoel Barradas to take on Vitoria in round 14 of the Brasileiro Serie A on Sunday.

The Leao da Barra have lost each of the last four meetings between the two teams since November 2016 and will head into the weekend looking to end this poor run.

We say: Vitoria 1-1 Athletico Paranaense

Vitoria have put together a fine run of results of late but will need to be at their best as they look to end their losing streaks against the visitors. Paranaense have struggled to get going on their travels and we see both sides settling for a share of the spoils.

Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro (Sunday, 10.30pm)

Matchday 13 of the 2024 Brasileiro season sees Flamengo and Cruzeiro face off against each other at Estadio Maracana on Sunday evening.

The hosts head into this weekend's clash off the back of a rare defeat last time out, while their visitors returned to winning ways in their most recent involvement.

We say: Flamengo 3-1 Cruzeiro

Flamengo's home record of late makes them huge favourites heading into this one and we can see them cruising to a routine victory at the end of the 90 minutes.

Criciuma vs. Internacional (Sunday, 10.30pm)

Criciuma host Internacional at the Estadio Heriberto Hulse on Sunday for round 13 of the Brasileiro Serie A, with both teams looking to quickly recover from their latest setbacks.

Both teams are coming into this clash on the back of defeats that saw their respective winning runs end, and both will hoping to turnup against an opponent they have not met in seven years.

We say: Criciuma 1-2 Internacional

Both teams slipped up in their last league outings and are coming into this match looking to avoid making it successive slip-ups, but the hosts have struggled on home soil this while the visitors have been better on the road.
