Augsburg edge past Eintracht Frankfurt

Augsburg end their Bundesliga season with a third straight victory courtesy of a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the SGL arena.

Augsburg have ended their Bundesliga season with a third straight victory in the form of a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the SGL Arena.

Halil Altintop came close to giving Augsburg the lead inside the first two minutes, but was denied from close range by Kevin Trapp.

The visitors then opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Sebastian Jung's cross was headed in at the back post by Joselu.

Ragnar Klavan levelled the scores for Augsburg just before the half-hour mark, as he headed in from Tobias Werner's corner.

Midway through the second half Raul Bobadilla wasted a good chance for the home side, but could only send his strike from the edge of the box wide of the post.

In the 79th minute the hosts took the lead through Andre Hahn, who headed Matthias Ostrzolek's cross in at the back post to seal the three points for his side.
