Augsburg nick it late on

Tobias Werner scores at the death to complete an Augsburg turnaround against Freiburg.

Augsburg have come back from 1-0 down to beat Freiburg 2-1 in the Bundesliga.

The start of the game was notable mainly for the fouls both sides were conceding, but Raphael Holzhauser came close inside the opening 10 minutes with a low shot that was well saved.

It took until the 34th minute for the next meaningful attempt, but Karim Guede's strike on the turn was blocked from close range.

Daniel Baier then tried a snapshot from outside the box, but got too much on it and saw his effort fly over the bar.

However, immediately from the kickoff Freiburg attacked at pace, with Admir Mehmedi finishing the move after being found by Sebastian Freis.

The lead lasted just 15 minutes, however, as Halil Altintop fired low and hard from a Matthias Ostrzolek pass.

Then at the death the turnaround was complete. Tobias Werner found the net from outside the box to send the Augsburg fans home happy.
