Ex-NFL player Ray Rice has domestic violence offence removed from his record

Former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice has his domestic violence offence dropped from his record.

Former Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice has had his offence of domestic violence wiped from his record.

The 28-year-old was suspended indefinitely by the NFL last year after video footage of the player beating his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in a casino lift came to light.

According to TMZ, Rice struck a deal with prosecutors and now that he has completed a 12-month pre-trial intervention programme, Judge Michael A Donio has signed a dismissal order sent by the Atlantic County district attorney.

Rice is also believed to have paid a $125 (£80) fine.
