Wednesday's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup: Lautaro Martinez, N'Golo Kante, Hakim Ziyech

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Barcelona on Wednesday, July 22.

The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Barcelona eye possible reinforcements.

The Spanish champions spent big on Antoine Griezmann during the summer but missed out on a big-name striker in January, leading to speculation that they could splash the cash again when the window reopens.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news from the Camp Nou.

Wednesday morning's Barcelona transfer talk news roundup:

Report: Chelsea considering move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Chelsea have reportedly switched focus to Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen in their search for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

The Blues are rumoured to be on the lookout for an experienced stopper to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has failed to win over boss Frank Lampard.

Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer and Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid have already been touted as possible targets, but Mundo Deportivo claims that Ter Stegen may now be top of Lampard's wishlist.

Chelsea are said to be closely monitoring the Netherlands international's talks with Barca over a new deal, with his existing terms due to expire at the end of the 2021-22 season.

Lampard's side have already spent big this year to bring in Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, but the report indicates that the West London outfit are willing to splash out even more if it means landing a world-class goalkeeper.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Lampard urged Kepa - the world's most expensive keeper at £71.5m - to prove that he can be a success at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United 'set to sign three academy players'

Manchester United are reportedly close to announcing a triple swoop for academy players Marc Jurado, Alvaro Fernandez and Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

The Red Devils are in the process of revamping their academy setup and have identified three more youngsters to add to their age-grade ranks.

According to the Manchester Evening News, 16-year-old right-back Jurado - considered one of the best talents at Barcelona - is on the brink of joining.

Hansen-Aaroen, who recently became Tromso IL's youngest-ever player, will also supposedly pen professional terms after reaching the age of 15.

Meanwhile, Fernandez is said to have been identified as a player with a big future and will join from Real Madrid, where his contract is due to expire this summer.
