Benfica manager Jorge Jesus admits that Barcelona are unstoppable and describes Lionel Messi as an extra-terrestrial following their 2-0 home defeat in the Champions League.

Benfica manager Jorge Jesus has described Lionel Messi as an "extra-terrestrial" following side's 2-0 defeat to the Catalan giants.

Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas were on target for Barca, who overcame a bad injury to Carles Puyol and a red card for Sergi Busquets to complete the win.

Jesus told reporters that he expects Barca to complete a clean sweep of Group G.

He said: "We were up against the best team in the world, a side that always has 70% or more of possession and that dominate all their opponents.

"And then they have an extra-terrestrial (Lionel Messi) that does the rest. The other teams will play against Barcelona and also lose, so they will have the same margin of error as us."

Benfica fell to third place in Group G following Celtic's first away win in the group stages for 19 years against Spartak Moscow.
