Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has said that Pep Guardiola will not help them prepare against Barcelona in the Champions League due to his ties with the Catalan club.
The recently crowned Bundesliga champions meet the Liga leaders at home in the semi-final of the competition on April 23, with the return leg on May 1 at Camp Nou.
Former Barca coach Guardiola will take over from Heynckes at the Allianz Arena next season, but the current Bayern boss does not feel that the Spaniard will help his new side in their preparation because of the high regard he still holds his former side in.
"Pep Guardiola wouldn't do us any favours out of respect for his former club," Heynckes told Sky Sports News.
"We have a great scouting department, I have two scouts who make me a detailed work-up of every opponent. Moreover, I know everything about Barca."
Die Roten reached the semis after overcoming Juventus 4-0 on aggregate, with the other semi-final being contested between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
