Tito Vilanova will take charge of Barcelona on Tuesday when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in France.

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova could return to the bench for his side's Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain in France on Tuesday.

The 44-year-old returned to the Catalan city on Tuesday after two months of cancer treatment in the USA and handled the team's training session at Ciutat Esportiva on Friday afternoon.

"[Vilanova] will take today's training session but he will not travel to [Celta] Vigo [on Saturday]," ESPN quotes Jordi Roura as saying before Friday's training.

"He will come back with us gradually, but if everything goes well then he will be in Paris with the team. The week or two after the treatment are hard, secondary effects can appear.

"He will look at his own situation. We are happy to have him here, having the boss back is very important for the squad."

Roura has been acting as stand-in Barcelona coach while Vilanova was away.
