Preview: APOEL vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Champions League Group F match between Barcelona and Cypriot side APOEL.

Barcelona will be looking to maintain their hopes of finishing the Champions League group stages as Group F winners when they travel to APOEL this week.

The La Liga side are a point behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, having lost to the French champions earlier in the campaign.

The visitors could be without a couple of players as Andres Iniesta has missed the last four games with a calf injury, while Douglas has not featured since injuring his foot in September.

Luis Enrique may also choose to rest Daniel Alves, as a booking for the defender would leave him suspended for their final group game against PSG next month.

Meanwhile, APOEL cannot reach the knockout stages, but avoiding defeat would keep them in contention for the Europa League spot.

The Cypriot side are without a win in the group this season, with their only point coming from a draw with Ajax, but they did restrict Barca to a 1-0 win at the Camp Nou in September.

The club have been in patchy form domestically as well, playing out two goalless draws since their last Champions League outing.

The team have reported no new injury problems following the international break, and have no players suspended for this match.
