Barcelona, despite fielding a second-string XI, end their group stage campaign in style by easing past BATE Borisov.

Defending champions Barcelona rounded off their Champions League group campaign by easing past Belarusian side BATE Borisov at the Nou Camp this evening.

Pep Guardiola's side had already secured top spot in Group E and took the opportunity of a relatively meaningless game to field some of their younger talent and it was one of these youngsters that opened the scoring after 35 minutes.

Midfielder Sergio Roberto collected the ball on after a one-touch move and slotted home coolly to give Barca the lead at the break.

Another academy product, right-back Martin Montoya, was then involved in the second and third goals after an hour.

First, the 20-year-old received Isaac Cuenca's through pass and fired home before setting up winger Pedro who finished cheekily with a back heel.

Pedro then scored his second from the spot to complete the rout after the impressive Cuenca was brought down in the box.
