Team News: Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa passed fit for Barcelona Champions League trip

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is deemed fit enough to start tonight in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has been deemed fit enough to start tonight in the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona.

It was feared that the in-form frontman might not be able to start tonight's game at the Camp Nou after coming off early at the weekend and reportedly missing a portion of Monday's training session.

However, he is in the starting lineup for tonight's tussle between La Liga's top two and is joined in attack by former Barca man David Villa.

Hosts Barcelona are without usual number one Victor Valdes in goal after he was ruled out for several months, with Jose Manuel Pinto between the sticks.

Barcelona: Pinto; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta; Fabregas, Messi, Neymar
Subs: Oier, Adriano, Song, Bartra, Sergi Roberto, Alexis, Pedro

Atletico: Courtois; Juanfran, Godín, Miranda, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Arda Turan; Villa, Diego Costa
Subs: Aranzubia, Alderweireld, Insua, Mario Suarez, Cristian Rodriguez, Sosa, Diego
