Barcelona have announced that striker Sergio Aguero is ruled out for the next three months, after suffering chest pains against Alaves last weekend.
The 33-year-old felt unwell in the first half of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Camp Nou, and was sent to hospital before he underwent cardiological tests to determine the severity of his condition.
The Catalan club have since released the following statement: "Sergio Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr. Josep Brugada.
"He is unavailable for selection and during the next three months the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process."

The Argentine has also taken to Twitter, stating: "I am well and in good spirits to face the recovery process. I want to thank you all for so many messages of support and love that make my heart stronger today."
Aguero has endured a difficult start to life with the Catalan club, since leaving Premier League champions Manchester City over the summer.
The striker missed the first two months of the new campaign with a calf injury, which has reduced him to just five appearances across all competitions.
