Las Palmas will be bidding to make it three straight wins in Spain's top flight when they resume their campaign at home to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday afternoon.
The home side have picked up nine points from their last four La Liga fixtures to rise into 10th spot in the table, while Rayo are in eighth, having collected 13 points from their nine games in 2023-24.
We say: Las Palmas 1-1 Rayo Vallecano
Las Palmas are in excellent form at the moment, but Rayo are a difficult side to beat, and we have had to settle on a low-scoring draw here. Rayo did the double over Las Palmas when the two teams last met in Spain's top flight in 2015-16, but we are expecting the points to be shared on Sunday.

Girona vs. Almeria (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Girona will be aiming to record their eighth La Liga victory of what has been a very impressive campaign to date when they welcome a struggling Almeria on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts are second in the table, boasting 22 points from their opening nine league games, while Almeria are rooted to the bottom of the division on just three points from nine matches.
We say: Girona 2-0 Almeria
La Liga has a habit of throwing up surprise results when they are least expected, but we just cannot see that happening in this match. Girona have proved themselves to be a strong outfit this term, and the Catalan outfit should have too much for a struggling Almeria in this match.

Villarreal vs. Alaves (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Two teams struggling towards the wrong end of the La Liga table will lock horns on Sunday evening, with Villarreal welcoming Alaves to Estadio de la Ceramica.
Villarreal are currently 16th in the division, having picked up just eight points from their opening nine matches, while Alaves are 17th, also with eight points from their first nine games of 2023-24.
We say: Villarreal 1-0 Alaves
A scrappy 1-0 win would do Villarreal here, as it is a result and not a performance that they need most at this moment in time. Alaves are capable of making it an uncomfortable match, but we believe that the home side will have enough quality to secure a much-needed three points on Sunday.

Barcelona vs. Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 8.00pm)

La Liga champions Barcelona will be bidding to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they welcome Athletic Bilbao to Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Sunday night.
The Catalan outfit are currently third in the La Liga table, picking up 21 points from their opening nine matches of the campaign, while Athletic are fifth, boasting 19 points from their first nine games of 2023-24.
We say: Barcelona 2-1 Athletic Bilbao
This has all of the makings of a fascinating match, and we are expecting Athletic to cause the Catalan outfit problems on Sunday night. Barcelona will again be missing a number of important players, but we are backing Xavi's side to navigate their way to all three points in this contest.
