Jean Marie Dongou hopes to work his way into the Barcelona first team next season.

Barcelona striker Jean Marie Dongou has vowed to prove himself to new coach Gerardo Martino next season.

The 18-year-old, who scored twice in the club's 7-0 win against Valerenga on Saturday, is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Barca academy.

"It was very special to score goals with the best team in the world. I'm very happy," Dongou told reporters at a press conference.

"It is always important to play well in the first team. I am aware of [Martino's] commitment to the grassroots. Now up to us to prove to him that we are capable of playing [in the first team]."

Dongou scored six goals for Barcelona B last season.
