Pep Guardiola to face Barcelona

Pep Guardiola will come up against his former club Barcelona in what will be one of his first matches in charge of Bayern Munich.

It was confirmed last month that the former Barca player and coach is to take control of the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the current campaign.

The 42-year-old will not have to wait too long to meet his former employers, who will travel to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, July 24 to compete for the Uli Hoeness Cup.

It has been agreed between the two clubs that all the proceeds from the pre-season encounter will be given to charity.

Guardiola spent four years as head coach at the Camp Nou before resigning in 2012.
