Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman 'accuses Riqui Puig of leaking information'

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman reportedly labels Riqui Puig a "leak" after information regarding a possible summer transfer was made public.

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has been left furious at Riqui Puig after information regarding a potential transfer was made public, according to a report.

Puig was allegedly told by Koeman in the summer to find a new club, but the 21-year-old ultimately stayed put at Camp Nou despite being close to an exit.

However, Koeman is understood to be livid that the news filtered through to the public domain, with El Pais reporting that the Dutchman branded Puig a "leak" in front of the Blaugrana dressing room.

Puig is yet to start a game for Barca this term, but the midfielder has made four appearances from the bench in all competitions following his summer transfer saga.

Reports of Koeman's outburst towards Puig come after Philippe Coutinho admitted that there is a lot of tension at the club, with La Blaugrana only chalking up four wins from 10 La Liga games before they take on Levante on Sunday evening.

Puig is currently running down the final few months of his Barcelona deal, which will expire in June 2021.
