Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi has become the highest-scoring Barcelona player in a league season after scoring in the club's 2-0 win over Mallorca on Saturday.
The 24-year-old has now scored 35 goals in La Liga this season, overtaking Ronaldo's previous record of 34 during the 1996-1997 campaign.
Messi is now firmly on course to overtake Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo's 40 league goals from last season.
Messi has scored 55 goals in all competitions this season.
